1300nm Intensity Modulator(IM13 Series)
1、Product introduction
The intensity modulator based on Mach-Zehnder interference structure can realize the intensity change of interference light wave by modulating the phase of light wave. IM13 series intensity modulator adopts annealing proton exchange process to fabricate low-loss optical waveguide with single polarization (polarization) characteristics on LiNbO₃ wafer, so it has excellent polarization stability and can maintain the stability of optical index of the device under the condition of high input optical power.
Low-speed intensity modulator adopts high impedance lumped modulation electrode structure, which is suitable for low modulation rate (such as DC~500MHz) application scenarios. The high-speed intensity modulator adopts coplanar traveling wave modulation electrode structure with 50Ω impedance, which is suitable for high modulation rate (such as 1~10GHz).
IM13 series intensity modulators have the remarkable characteristics of low driving voltage, high stability and miniaturization, and can be applied to optical fiber sensing, fiber communication, microwave fiber link, laser coherent synthesis and other fields.
